World Fund of the Rotary Foundation allocates $1M in Disaster Relief grants to Rotary districts to provide immediate relief within local communities. D5010 was able to secure $25,000 for our district clubs.

The Rotary Club of Girdwood made applied for and was granted $1315.78 to support the Girdwood Health Clinic.

The clinic has been on the front lines of our community response to Covid19. They have been working closely with the Alaska Department of Health to provide testing and care for patients in the Girdwood valley.

This effort would not have been possible with the help of our community partners including Diane Kaplan, Executive Director of the Rassmusen Foundation for matching funds and allowing D5010 to provide more relief and supplies than would have been possible. We'd also like to thank Nina Kempell, Executive Director of the Alaska Community Foundation for their support that made creating the fund portal possible and handling the logistics for check distributions.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the Rotarians in our district who so generously donated to the Rotary Cares Fund that will help many of those affected by COVID-19.
